Lumos Dental Reopening!

Hello All!

We hope this letter finds you well in the midst of summer! I am happy to report that Lumos Dental has returned to almost full capacity in order to help serve our patients, and we are currently offering full dental services to our patients.

During our temporary closure due to the pandemic, we realize that we were not able to see many of our patients that were due for their regularly-scheduled hygiene appointments. We were just as disappointed that many of these appointments had to be cancelled. However, we are currently in the process of getting back in touch with everyone who has missed an appointment or has outstanding dental treatment that needs to be addressed. Please be patient while we are trying to reach out to you all. However, If you have an urgent need and have not heard from us, please give the office a call!

As always, patient safety is our top priority. As mentioned in previous correspondences, we have adopted new standards and guidelines from the CDC and ADA for our office to mitigate risks in the most effective way possible. We will also be limiting the number of patients that are serviced during the day as well, and therefore, please understand that options of days and times for appointments will be limited.

There will also be some new patient protocols that you will experience when you come for your dental appointment:

  • We ask that all entering the building wear a mask to protect themselves as well as our team.
  • You will be asked to perform hand hygiene with water-less sanitizer upon entering the building.
  • Your temperature will be taken upon entering the building.
  • There will be a series of pre-screening questions that may be asked multiple times before your appointment and at your appointment.
  • Contactless payment methods either on our website or over the phone will be available.
  • Personal intra-oral evacuation devices may be employed during your dental appointment to reduce aerosols.
  • We are asking our patients that develop COVID symptoms or test positive in the 2 weeks following their appointment to call us to inform us.

Because of the amount of PPE that we all will be wearing, you will not be able to see our smiling faces, but I can promise that we are all happy to see you all again. Please reach out with any questions or concerns. We appreciate your patience with us during this time and we all look forward to seeing you all soon!
