Dr. Jennifer You has been a part of Lumos Dental since 2011, when she joined as an associate while it was known as Levy Dental Group. In 2013, she purchased the practice and took over operations the following January. Since then, she has been dedicated to upholding and enhancing the exceptional patient care and personalized service that Lumos Dental is known for.
Dr. You’s passion for dentistry started early. Even as a kindergartner in her hometown of Marianna, Florida, she was fascinated by teeth and eager to help classmates wiggle out their loose ones. That enthusiasm led her to shadow her local dentist in high school, setting her path toward a career where she could combine science, skill, and compassion.
After earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Birmingham-Southern College, Dr. You completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She then advanced her training through a General Practice Residency at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT, where she was honored as Resident of the Year.
For Dr. You, dentistry is not only about clinical excellence but also about relationships. She treasures the trust patients place in her care and considers Lumos Dental a second home—one where patients become like family.
When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. You enjoys spending time with her husband, Justin, and their two children, Russell and Phoebe. In her free time, she enjoys weight lifting, Pilates, watching her son’s many soccer games, traveling, planning detailed travel itineraries, and visiting family in the South—especially time spent on Lake Martin in Alabama. Balancing her role as a long-time practice owner with life outside of work is always a challenge, but she prioritizes making memories together with family and friends above all.
